Bilingual Interpreting Examination (BIE) Video Training Series

Welcome to the BIE training series provided by the Judicial Council of California. This training is designed to assist court interpreter candidates in understanding and preparing for the exam, a requirement for certification as a court interpreter in California.

The BIE training is divided into two series, comprising a total of six (6) videos.
 

  • Series I consists of four (4) videos that provide an overview of the BIE. These videos cover what the exam tests, how the scoring and rating process works, and what to expect on exam day.
  • Series II includes two (2) videos focusing on preparation for the BIE. These videos offer tips and strategies for developing court interpreting skills, studying for the exam, and accessing available resources.

By completing this training, you will:
